Terms and conditions


Cancellation 

Should you wish to cancel your subscription you simply have to email us at StourbridgeGymnasticsAcademy@gmail.com before the first of the month and we can remove you from our register. If you do not inform us payment will still be taken as we assume that you are just off ill or on holiday and you want to hold your place on the register.

Payments will be returned if an individual class has to be cancelled due unforeseen circumstances on our end. Please note during the snow season we might all possible reasonable efforts to remain open we usually do still operate unless the weather is particularly extreme enough to stop opening up staff attending and then in which case you would receive an email to say we are not running that day as soon as we know shortly before your class.

• You must refrain from bringing your child to class if they have had any form of illness within 48 hours of the class.

• We don't issue refunds for missed sessions due to your own circumstances

  • Stourbridge gymnastics academy ltd or any of their staff are not responsible for any loss or injury during the class.
  • Stourbridge gymnastics academy ltd reserves the right to remove from our programme, without refund, anyone who is found to be bullying, misbehaving or displaying disruptive behaviour, as well as anybody using equipment in a manner that has not been instructed and causing a danger to themselves or others particularly after an initial verbal warning.Members (gymnasts and parents/guardians) must conform to the codes of conduct . Members in breach of the codes of conduct may be asked to leave the premises and in extreme cases have their membership terminated without a refund.
  • once your have booked and paid for a class we don’t offer refunds, by booking and paying for the class, even if you don’t turn up eg, if you are away on holiday, sick or child does not wish to come you are asking us to reserve a slot of your child in that class. You can ask us to cancel at any point via email and no further payments will be taken.
  • if you canal further payments you may still attend the classes you have already paid for

• You must declare all medical conditions during registration and keep us up-to-date should this change by emailing us at StourbridgeGymnasticsAcademy@gmail.com

we have the right to refuse entry to any participant arriving late and missing the warm up as this is a key safety activity as part of the class.


Dropping children off unattended

-unlike a lot of gymnastics clubs, our venues has seating for parents to stay and watch and most parents do stay and watch the session, we request that you inform us each session if you are just dropping off your child and leaving them in our care and not staying with them.

INSURANCE

Our club is overseen by a company called IGA. The club has public liability insurance, employees liability insurance, and each coach is insured also.

it is your responsibility to make sure to take out an Gymnasts insurance for your participant, from IGA.


this insurance is mandatory after the trial sessions

You need to set up a profile for your participant in their name, pay the insurance Listed as gymnast insurance

And attach the participant to our club Black Country Gymnastics on their profile


Liability Waiver

 

You agree you know of no reason why your child should not participate in gymnastics classes You understand the risks involved in gymnastics and that while coaches at  will do their utmost to minimise these risks, accidents sometimes happen. I give my consent for my child to participate in gymnastics classes. Taking out gymnast insurance with IGA is mandatory expectation of taking part in Gymnastics ,(this will be the same at any gymnastics club via their insurance company, if you currently have British Gymnastics insurance from a previous club it will not be valid with us) parents responsibility to ensure you have taken out insurance with IGA in case of any accident, you would be unable to make an insurance claim regarding any accidents if you have not taken out an insurance policy for your gymnast with IGA).

We will do our best to make a club open to all children, we also do our best to work through any issues children might have and work with a parents to be as inclusive as possible and try different ideas a that are reasonable to keep all children involved but children not deemed to be able to take part in a safe manner will not be able to continue with the classes.

example of not being safe include ,- climbing on or using equipment without prior instruction, attempting to disassemble equipment such as undoing screws, playing with light switches( this one can be incredibly dangerous). Rough play with other children . Late attendance and missing warm-ups, leaving the area they are assigned with a coach too “play” in another area of the room/gym. -Unable to follow basic instructions such as please sit on a mat and listen to the following instructions..

Children are expected to keep their hands to themselves in regards to touching other Children who may not like it. If multiple warnings have to be given to manage the situation after giving out to many request for this to stop to the child and parents the child may not be able to continue attending. This may include stoking other children’s hair , hugging and other contact . While your child might just be being friendly a lot of child dont like personal contact in this manor.

No photos or videos art be taken by parents/ members of the audience. If you wish to video particular skill that your child performs, please ask a coach and we will try to make this possible at the end of the session in a controlled manner.Video or photographic use, including use of mobiles phones, is not permitted in the gym area unless authorised by the Club for safeguarding reasons. Any members providing content/footage on the web, or social media, without the Club’s written permission will be required to remove such content/ footage immediately and may have their membership terminated.


Stourbridge gymnastics academy ltd reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at its discretion and without notice. These Terms and Conditions supersede all former versions. Becoming a member or using Stourbridge gymnastics academy ltd constitutes acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
